Clos de Mez

Domaine Clos de Mez is a boutique winery nestled in the heart of Beaujolais, in the village of Villié-Morgon. Founded by passionate winemaker Marie-Elodie Zighera, the estate is dedicated to crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines from the region’s most esteemed crus. While Morgon remains at the core of the estate's identity—produced from old vines, many over 70 years old—Clos de Mez also cultivates vineyards in Fleurie, a cru known for its elegance and floral finesse. The Fleurie wines, like the Morgon, are farmed organically with a deep respect for biodiversity and soil vitality. In the cellar, both wines are vinified with minimal intervention, using native yeasts and little to no sulfur, allowing the unique character of each terroir to shine through. Where Morgon reveals depth and structure, the Fleurie offers a more delicate, perfumed expression—together showcasing the range and beauty of Beaujolais in the skilled hands of a thoughtful vigneronne.
