About the winemakers
Laurent & Emilie Veyrat
Laurent Veyrat is a northern Rhône vigneron whose life and work are deeply entwined with the land and history of his family estate in Chanos-Curson. Born into a lineage of farmers that dates back to the 1600s, Laurent grew up immersed in agriculture and vine culture, later formalizing his expertise with a professional viticulture diploma and practical training at reputable domaines in the region before returning home to work with his family’s vineyards. In 2004 he joined the family holding and began acquiring planting rights with the aim of crafting his own wines, and in 2019 he took a defining step by inaugurating his own cellar, transforming historic buildings on the property into a dedicated winemaking space. Together with his wife Émilie, Laurent now manages about 13–14 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, producing a range of Crozes-Hermitage whites and reds that reflect both terroir nuance and respectful, often biodynamic-leaning viticulture.
